How much is the monthly fee to board a horse?
This is to be determined based on feeding and cleaning schedule. For the area, we are very competitive.
How many horses are there in the facility?
We have our horse on the property, with room for two more.
How many staff(trainers, grooms, ect?)
We fenced our pasture to keep our horse on it. There is no staff, nor trainers.
What type of riders board at the facility?(show, pleasure, ect.)
Our horse is a running quarter horse who is currently a trail rider.
Who is the farrier/vet/dentist?
There are a number of excellent farriers/vets/dentists available in the community.
Would I be allowed to use my own?
Yes
Is there a discount for using the vet/farrier used at the facility?
No
What if the daily schedule?(fed times, blanketing, turnout times, ect.)
We feed our horse once in the morning and once in the evening. We don't provide blanketing or turnouts.
What facilities are here?(pasture, paddock, round pen, tack room, wash
racks, ect.)
We have the pasture and a large covering.
Is there hot water available in the wash racks?
We currently don't have a wash rack, but it will be built in the next six months.
Would I be able to have full access to these if i were to board here?
Yes, once it is built.
Are there any trails nearby accessible from the facility?
Yes, the amazing Olivenhain trail system!
What are the addition fees for any extra services?
We don't provide any extra services. It is quite DIY.
Do you change the blankets or would I have to?
We don't provide blanketing.
What is fed and how many times a day? Any addition costs for anything?
(suppliments, different food, ect.?)
This is up to you.
Who is the owner and what is there role(trainer, just owns horses, ect.)?
The owners live on the property are business professionals and both work full time.
Does a barn manager live on site?
We do not have a barn manager, but the owners house is connected to the pasture.
What space is available per person/horse in the tack room? Would I have my own?
We don't have a tack room, but there is room for a tack box on the property.
Is there a refrigerator for food for me/my horse available?
No
Are there events that are held at the facility?
No
How many horses do you pasture together? do you separate geldings and mares?
Our one horse is on his own. The rest of the pasture make up is up to you.
How do you manage your pastures?
We routinely fix the fence and mow the pasture.
Do you quarantine the new horse? If so, for how long and where?
No
Is there enough shelter on the pastures for the horses?
Yes, plenty.
Do you document fecal egg counts and deworming treatments on all
resident horses?
No
Are there times the arena is reserved for lessons?
No, this is a pasture only.
What kind of fencing do you have?
Wood, with heavy horse netting.
Are there times when I can't use the riding rings, round pens, ect.?
Little Oaks Park is open 24 hrs.
Is there an additional fee for trailer parking?

If my horse were to get hurt, and you couldn't reach me, what would you do?
Reach out to our neighbors or our vet.
What kind of turn out pens do you have? Dirt, grass, both?
Little Oaks Park is dirt.
Can friends come ride my horse? If so, is a waiver needed?
If a waiver is signed, this could be arranged.
